A massive, athletic frame (7’1”, 250 pounds) and proven production (21.2 PPG, 12.9 RPG) await any team willing to take a chance on Brandon McCoy out of UNLV. A plodding, ground-bound center is the exact opposite of what the modern NBA has become, and it is certain that McCoy would be played off the floor when opposing teams go small.

Still though, McCoy has slipped from being a projected first rounder to almost fall out of the draft entirely, so taking a swing on a big man later in the second round might make sense for a Hawks team looking for as much upside as possible.

Since McCoy has not yet turned 20, he fits that bill.
