Kevin Knox

In my opinion, Kevin Knox could end up being the biggest surprise in this draft. The 6 ft. 9 in. big man, who could also be considered a wing, knows how to put the ball in the basket.

He has the potential to put up big numbers every time he steps on the floor. In one season at the University of Kentucky, he averaged 15.6 points and 5.4 rebounds in 32.4 minutes. While those numbers are not crazy good, Knox is one of the youngest players in the draft and may just have scratched the surface of what he is capable of on both sides of the ball.

He has the ability to score in a lot of different ways, which is exactly what is looked for in big men in today’s NBA. If he can continue to develop his game, he could turn into an offensive weapon for the lucky team that takes him.

Knox would instantly make the Hawks’ offense better. While the possibilities of him falling all the way to 19 aren’t very high (though he did just that in a recent FanSided Mock Draft), he may be a guy that would be worth the Hawks looking to move up into the low-to-mid teens to pick up, which is a distinct possibility if a deal is done with the Nuggets for Kenneth Faried. Knox is a guy that Hawks fans should keep an eye on just in case Atlanta is lucky enough to scoop him up.

I personally am a believer in Knox and think that he has a bright future ahead of him. I would love to see him in a Hawks uniform next season.
