Introducing Kevin Knox

Knox is another prospect that Calipari molded this season. Standing at 6-foot-9 the Tampa native could be a great pick-up for the Hawks.

Small ball is the new norm in this league and teams are trying to copy the blueprint of the Golden State Warriors. In today’s game, big men have to be able to shoot the three, run in transition and grab boards.

New Hawks Head Coach Lloyd Pierce could use a player like this on his roster. Knox does an exceptional job of finding the open spot on the floor on offense.

Often times the big man sets a screen and, if he is thrown off, he will come back and reset it. Knox can knock down the open three and runs the lanes in transition.

The former UK forward has great hands, shifty feet, a beautiful shooting stroke and the ability to play defense when he wants to.

A concern that comes to mind is his dependency on the three-point shot and forcing bad shots.

This season the right-handed forward averaged 15.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists.
