Atlanta Hawks: 15 Best Dunkers of All-Time
Versatile forward Paul Millsap had quite the productive time in his four seasons with the Hawks. He made four All-Star appearances as a member of the team, averaging 17.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.2 blocks per contest.
Leading an all-around attack, Millsap led the Hawks in dunks during the 2013-14 season with 36 dunks. In season two, Al Horford took over the reigns as the leader in the paint with 93 dunks but Millsap was right behind with 48 slams. By the end of his time, Millsap posted 147 dunks across four seasons.
He averaged 36.8 dunks during his time with the Hawks. His averaged dipped due to lower production during the 2016-17 season. In his final season, he played mostly outside the paint given Dwight Howard’s presence on the inside.
Millsap brought a developed 3-point shot to the team as his time progressed with Atlanta. He made at least 70 3-pointers in each of his four seasons, averaging 75.5 3-pointers, doubling his dunk average and then some. He went 33.5 percent from 3-point land during his time with the Hawks.
His versatility was on full display throughout his tenure in Atlanta. Dunking just wasn’t the only skill that got him to four consecutive All-Star games. Millsap wasn’t shy about putting a guy or two on a poster, either. The Hawks could use some of Millsap’s ability now, that’s for sure. John Collins isn’t too bad though.
