As the earliest signing of these three recent flyers, Robinson comes in with the best pedigree of any of the players the Atlanta Hawks have signed in advance of Training Camp.

As the #5 overall pick from the 2012 NBA Draft, Robinson is the highest lottery pick on this list. Though he has never been able to truly find a role for himself at the NBA level, the Atlanta Hawks will provide him every opportunity as they search for players who can be consistent contributors to a rebuilding team in the short-term.

Since Robinson is already 27 years old, it seems unlikely that he will be a part of the franchise for longer than a few seasons either way – though if the rebuild goes well, the team might be able to employ a switchable and athletic wing in multiple lineups.

Since Robinson is the only player of these three who projects to be a switchable defender, it must follow that he will have the best chance to remain on the team.

Of course, he has never shown himself to be a talented outside shooter, which is also an important for any players in today’s NBA – and something that our next player, R.J. Hunter, projects to be.
