As it stands, all three players have a good chance of staying on the roster past training camp; it all comes to down to what the Atlanta Hawks need.

If news breaks that Dedmon will be out for a considerable period of time, perhaps Aldrich will be the player that stick around – although Miles Plumlee, Omari Spellman, Alex Len and John Collins could all ably play the five if the need arose.

Instead, maybe R.J. Hunter will stay on the Atlanta Hawks, but then again, the team already has a glut of players with similar profiles who are a bit more proven, or come in with a team mandate via high draft position or a new contract.

My bet is on Thomas Robinson, as he projects to be a switchable defender with an impressive draft pedigree who might be able to capably slot in and soak up minutes as a four or bigger three.

Either way, we can’t wait for the season to start. Keep it locked to Soaring Down South for all your Atlanta Hawks news as we move ever closer to the start of training camp and, eventually, the regular season.
