The Atlanta Hawks have multiple new faces, so let’s explore some bold predictions about what each player might do in 2018-19.

The Atlanta Hawks are less than a month away from opening up their season on the road against the New York Knicks. Entering the 2018-19 season, Atlanta Hawks fans are expecting the team to tank while also clearing cap space for 2019.

Be that as it may, fans are in for a special treat because this season the Hawks roster features young, athletic and versatile talent. One player that Atlanta acquired during the summer is Justin Anderson, who was traded from the Philadelphia 76ers.

Anderson was acquired in a three-team trade between the Hawks, 76ers and Oklahoma City Thunder. This trade marked the end of the Dennis Schröder era as he was sent to the Thunder.

Clearly, the addition of Anderson may not spark excitement for most but this is a young piece that could help the Hawks. Unfortunately, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Chris Vivlamore reported on Thursday that Anderson has not been cleared for training camp, which starts Tuesday.

After the 2018 postseason, the 24-year-old had surgery on his left leg, per Chris Vivlamore. Assuming that the Virginia product returns for the regular season, it’s safe to say that he will make an impact on this team.

Outside of trying to fight Dwyane Wade in the opening round of the 2018 playoffs, the young guard has plenty to offer. Anderson provides a young Atlanta team with tough defense, physicality and grit.

Let’s take a look at three bold predictions for the new Hawk this coming season.
