Justin Anderson Will Shoot 38 Percent From Three

Yes, you read it correctly, Anderson will shoot 38 percent from three. Think about it! This summer, the Hawks front office has drafted, traded and signed a multitude of three-point shooters.

This summer Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk acquired  Trae Young via trade during the draft. In addition to Young, the franchise drafted Kevin Huerter and Omari Spellman.

Not to mention, Atlanta acquired Jeremy Lin this summer and signed Vince Carter. Prior to this year the Hawks drafted John Collins in 2017 and received the rights to Taurean Prince in the 2016 draft.

Although, this team is entering the second year of its rebuild the potential is there. With the roster being built around three-point shooting and spacing, Anderson will have a chance to improve his shooting.

At the end of the 2017-18 regular season, the former Virginia Cavalier shot 33 percent from three. During the 24-year-old’s time with the Sixers, he only attempted 2.7 threes per game.

Again, playing on this young Atlanta roster will provide nothing but opportunity. If the former Maverick attempts more threes per game he has a chance to increase his three-point percentage.

The current roster gives Pierce the option to space the floor and play pick & roll through Collins, Miles Plumlee and Dewayne Dedmon (if he’s healthy).

Just imagine constant ball movement and someone always open on the weak side for a corner three.
