The Swagger

The Atlanta Hawks are, sadly, not highly regarded by NBA fans at large. Even this season, the Hawks are expected to be among the worst teams in the league – with good reason.

With no real reason to win any games as they fully commit to a total rebuild, the Hawks will likely opt for trotting out young players a lot – allowing them to learn and grow at the highest levels.

With that being said, Trae Young’s presence on the Hawks might lead some to tune in to Hawks games when they might not have been interested in years past, and what they see might surprise them.

Young is fairly understated on the court, often letting his play do the talking rather than any petulant outbursts or ref-baiting actions. When he does express his emotions, even his celebrations are steely-eyed and reserved, like a single-arm flex after making a tough and-one layup against the Cavs.

If Young continues to play at the same level he produced against the Cavs and carries himself with that same level of intensity and confidence, the Hawks might have someone who can pull their team’s name out of its swagger deficit.
