The Atlanta Hawks played a game against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, though you’d be forgiven for not paying attention to it.
The Atlanta Hawks were riding high after an excellent 26-point comeback against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday spearheaded by Kent Bazemore and Trae Young, so one would think that the Hawks would come in with a certain swagger in their second home game of the season.
However, that would be an incorrect assumption.
The Hawks put forth a rather lackluster effort (to put it mildly) against the Chicago Bulls last night, and they were just completely flat all night.
We’ve managed to wring a few takeaways from this dispiriting loss, but just remember, the Hawks are not supposed to be good this season as we’re building towards an important draft in 2019. Just a reminder.
