Signs of Life From Beyond the Arc

Tonight the Hawks shot much better from behind the arc. Atlanta hoisted up 35 three-pointers tonight and made 15 of them (42.9 percent). Young, who has been streaky this season, shot 3 of 4 from deep (75 percent).

In addition to shooting a high percentage from three, Young shot 9 of 13 (69.2) from the field. This is huge for the rookie considering the fact that he was struggling in previous games to generate easy points (or turn down bad three-point attempts).

Kevin Huerter had a solid night as he finished with 13 points and 1 rebound while shooting 83.3 percent from the field. On top of a solid field goal percentage Huerter also shot 75 percent from three, which is a good sign for the Hawks backcourt of the future.

Outside of Bazemore who was 0-4 from three, Atlanta had a solid night from behind the arc. When this team takes care of the ball and focuses on defense the three-point shots come easier.
