Atlanta Hawks: 5 Takeaways from 123-118 Victory vs. Heat

Two Guards Are Killing the Hawks D
The Hawks defense as a whole hasn’t been amazing this season, but they have a glaring hole at shooting guard.
This season, Tim Hardaway Jr. (31 points), Garrett Temple (30), Zach Lavine (27), and Rodney Hood (26) have all shredded the Atlanta back court, and tonight was no different.
Josh Richardson scored a career-high 32 points tonight for the Heat, and backup Tyler Johnson scored 15 in the 2nd alone, finishing with 17 total.
The Hawks do enough switching on D to not put all the blame on Kent Bazemore, Kevin Huerter and DeAndre’ Bembry, but the backcourt as a whole still needs to improve. They’ll get Jeremy Lamb and Malik Monk with the Hornets next time.
