Atlanta Hawks: Rapid Reaction to 112-107 Loss to Knicks
After a tough loss to the New York Knicks, let’s delve into some rapid reactions for the Atlanta Hawks.
The Atlanta Hawks nearly erased a 16-point deficit with a furious 4th quarter comeback, but ultimately came up short 112-107 against the New York Knicks.
If for nothing else, tonight will be remembered because it produced the highlight of the Atlanta Hawks’ season to date–a monstrous, soul-snatching dunk courtesy of Miles Plumlee.
“GOOD HEAVENS!” Bob Rathbun exclaimed, speaking for us all.
The Duke product jumped from Kennesaw, came down through the roof of State Farm Arena, and rocked the rim with a thunderous slam that came in the middle of the Atlanta Hawks’ feisty 4th quarter comeback run.

Plumlee’s highlight was the lone bright spot that came out of the Atlanta Hawks’ frontcourt tonight.
Alex Len and Dewayne Dedmon struggled mightily with fouls and efficiency, combining for 11 points and 10 rebounds in 33 minutes.
The inability to take advantage of the mediocre mix of post depth that New York rolled out has to be a disappointment, considering how close the game ended up being.
Plumlee had the highest plus/minus of any Hawk at +10, but he played just 11 minutes. In those 11 minutes, he had 8 points and 5 rebounds (facepalm).
Play that man more, or put Harry the Hawk out there.
While the bullies down low left something to be desired for the Atlanta Hawks, it was a solid night for some sweet-shooting rookies.
