Read on to enjoy some takeaways from a seventh straight loss for the Atlanta Hawks, as they fall by a final margin of 97 to 89 at the hands of the Indiana Pacers.
After a loss to the Indiana Pacers on the final game of a road trip, the Atlanta Hawks have fallen to 3-13 on the season – losing 7 games in a row in the process.
Even though Victor Oladipo left with an injury early in this game, the Pacers got some strong, game-saving minutes from rookie Aaron Holiday – who proved he was ready to contribute more consistent minutes to his team going forward.
Holiday, who was thoroughly outplayed by his counterpart Trae Young in Summer League earlier this year, Holiday’s length, strength, athleticism and the Holiday family focus on defense (like brothers Jrue Holiday and Justin Holiday) made life tough for Young in the 4th quarter.
Holiday scored a career-high 12 points in only 15 minutes of action, accruing a game-swinging +10 in box plus/minus in a game the Pacers won by only 8. Holiday also hit 3 of 4 tries from deep, after coming in having only hit one triple so far in his young career.
Let’s get into the five takeaways from this game for the Atlanta Hawks.
