Generally Terrible Shooting

Going further into the team’s shooting numbers, the Atlanta Hawks got outshot from the field 35.6 percent to 39.8 percent. Where the worst discrepancy occurred, however, was from beyond the three-point line.

The Pacers shot a sterling 12 of 30 from distance for 40 percent. The Hawks, on the other hand, finished a rough 8 of 29 for 27.6 percent.

Rookie point guard Trae Young continues to struggle from distance, as he again went 3-less in this game (0 of 5). He was far from the only Hawk who struggled, though. Fellow rookie Kevin Huerter went 1 of 4 from distance and DeAndre’ Bembry went 0 of 3 (and an ugly 3 of 10 from the field).

Only 5 out of the 12 players who saw minutes for the Atlanta Hawks hit a three-pointer and no player hit more than 2 (Kent Bazemore and Vince Carter both hit 2 deep tries).

The Hawks also only managed to get 4 percent of their shots as corner threes, which was in the 18th percentile of games they’ve played this year. They also hit zero of those shots, so that’s also less than ideal.
