It was obvious from the get-go that Young was feeling himself. The 5th overall pick in the 2018 draft had a hand in Atlanta’s first 10 points of the game, scoring 8 and providing a beautiful pass to a diving Len.

Later in the game, he twice found John Collins in the corner for big-time downtown buckets.

He continues to soak up new tricks with pick-and-rolls off Alex Len, Dewayne Dedmon, and Collins–he’s starting to get extremely crafty with his body positioning and he’s doing a nice job of changing speeds and accelerating while going downhill to the rim.

Even with his small frame, he’s creating magic in the lane–and in the process, answering questions about how he would adapt to lengthier defenders in the NBA.
