A few takeaways from an action-packed and exciting Atlanta Hawks victory over the Charlotte Hornets. The Hawks won by a final margin of 124-123.

The Atlanta Hawks finally got off the schneid and defeated the Charlotte Hornets for their 4th win of the season, breaking the team’s 10-game losing streak.

This game started off as a continuation of the Hawks’ loss to the Hornets in Charlotte, as Kemba Walker was on fire early – scoring 10 points and dishing out 6 assists in the first 12 minutes of the game. Walker did not rest for a single second of the 1st quarter.

Beyond that, Malik Monk continues to have a great year after a lost season on the Hornets as a rookie – though he did show some flashes down the end of the season. Monk’s jumper was wet all night, as he drilled 7 triples on the way to a career-high-tying 26 points off the bench.

Former Hawk Marvin Williams also had something of a revenge game – foisting 20 points and 13 rebounds on the Hawks in a game-high 35 minutes.
