Continued Heat from Bembry

After a career-high in points against the Boston Celtics, as well as a terrific start to his bounce-back campaign, DeAndre’ Bembry had another strong performance against the Hornets – once again putting up a career-high in points.

Bembry was all over the place, on both offense and defense, and his length, speed and willingness to mix it up on defense impacted the game in multiple facets. Bembry’s final stat line was quite gaudy: 16 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 block in 26 minutes. Though his box plus/minus was somehow in the negative at -7, that statistic can be fluky and flawed and it certainly is in the case of Bembry, as his one-on-one defense was stifling at times in this one, and he matched up with a variety of different players on the Hornets (Marvin Williams, Kemba Walker, Jeremy Lamb, Malik Monk, Dwayne Bacon) due to the Hawks constant switching on defense.
