The Center Rotation
Lloyd Pierce is a fan of getting everyone involved, and when he puts out a 13-man rotation while the starters play 25+ minutes each, some on the bench are going to get nipped minutes-wise.
Tonight it was the duo of backup centers, Alex Len and Miles Plumlee as well as Justin Anderson all getting minutes.
Len had a good start to the season, but has been slowly tapering off, and after putting up a good fight, has clearly lost his starting role to Dewayne Dedmon. Miles Plumlee is no more than a high-energy role player, but with Pierce experimenting with John Collins at the 5, MC Plumlord will have a hard time getting much run this year.
Len however, showed his skills this year, and is at the least, a nice backup big. Dedmon is the better player, but not so much better to outplay Len 31 minutes to 4.
It’s also possible Len was getting a pseudo-off night, but he also had a DNP last week against Charlotte.
