The Atlanta Hawks improved to 6-23 on the year as they defeated a discombobulated Washington Wizards team 118-110.

Tonight’s win at home for the Atlanta Hawks may not seem like much, but it displayed the future potential of the team. Atlanta led most of the game and dominated the Wizards in multiple areas.

Seven players scored double figures in tonight’s game which is huge. Jeremy Lin, Alex Len, Kevin Huerter, John Collins, Dewayne Dedmon, Trae Young and Kent Bazemore all scored double digits.

Atlanta Hawks and first-year head coach Lloyd Pierce did an outstanding job exploiting mismatches all night against the Wizards. Despite the turnovers, the Hawks played physical defense against Washington.

Despite Bradley Beals offensive surge in the second half of the game, Bazemore did a good job of defending him. The Wizards committed 15 turnovers in the game.

Atlanta won this game from playing tough defense, attacking the rim and by creating mismatches. Although, this is a solid win for a young Atlanta Hawks team there are still three takeaways for this young team.
