Linsanity is That You?

Linsanity made an appearance in tonight’s game, mainly in the fourth quarter.  All night the Wizkids continued to battle and fight their way back in this game.

However, the Atlanta Hawks had an answer every step of the way. Young often times overshadows Lin, which is to be expected for a backup guard. But Lin seemed to take a step back in to the limelight tonight.

The 30-year-old finished tonight’s game with 19 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds. Lin pushed the tempo, attacked in transition and facilitated the pick & roll.

Lin was perfect from the charity stripe hitting all four of his free throws. He also fed the post and put the pressure on the Wizards in multiple ways.

It seems like Linsanity elevates his play when there are low expectations. Nonetheless, his constant attack of the rim and moving without the basketball help the Hawks offensive balance.

Clearly, a high level of play from Linsanity helps put this team in position to win but it also means that his trade value is increasing. As this young Hawks team continues to grow the number of turnovers need to decrease.

The team was able to overcome their 23 turnovers but that may not be the case next time. Right now, Atlanta should be ecstatic considering the fact that they just beat one of the best back courts in the NBA.
