With the Hawks positioned to be one of the few teams with a clear need at center come draft time, Bol Bol could be an intriguing late-lottery value.

It was announced last Thursday that Oregon center Bol Bol—a projected lottery pick—was going to have season-ending surgery on his left foot. While this is unfortunate, Bol did flash some of what makes him a such a tantalizing prospect—especially for the Hawks—in the 9 games he played for Dana Altman at Oregon.

As a result of the oft-criticized Luka Doncic-Trae Young swap on draft night, the Hawks will be keeping an eye on the Mavericks place in the standings all season, as Dallas’ Top-5 protected first round pick was the main sweetener in the deal outside of Young.

So with the combination of the franchise PG being in place, the Hawks possessing five 2019 draft picks (between the 1st & 2nd round) and the lack of center-needy teams, let’s dive into 3 reasons Bol Bol would be a perfect fit with the Atlanta Hawks.
