John Collins continues to develop into a devastating inside-outside scorer

All season, John Collins has dazzled with his dunks, but he also has shown off an improving skill-set that has him on track to be quite the offensive weapon.

Collins took 47 3-point shots and hit them at a 34% rate in his rookie year. This season he confidently up to 56 3-point attempts and is converting at roughly the same rate through 24 games. He showed off that confidence in Toronto on Tuesday night.

He shot 100% from the 3-point line on three attempts. But that didn’t stop him from mixing it up inside, where he wrecked just as much havoc, including an awesome display of athleticism in the 1st quarter.

Toronto had a tough time containing Collins on the glass, and he finished with 14 rebounds, including an impressive 5 offensive boards. His tenacity down low resulted in three free throw attempts for Collins, and a 10-point advantage for the Hawks in points in the paint (56-46) in the losing effort.
