Right now, Huerter’s three-point attempt rate of 54.4 percent is third on the Atlanta Hawks behind only Vince Carter’s robust 65.5 percent and Taurean Prince, who just edges Huerter with a 54.5 percent mark.

Of course, Prince has been unable to alter that number in recent weeks as he has been out with an ankle sprain for quite a while now.

Huerter has a beautiful three-point stroke that always looks as if it’s going in, even if does clang off the rim innocuously. Red Pepper certainly passes the eye test vis-à-vis his three-pointer, and that’s definitely a boon for the Atlanta Hawks.

According to Cleaning the Glass, 88 percent of Huerter’s three-pointers are assisted, which is surprisingly only in the 70th percentile among shooting guards. Huerter’s three-point attempt rate is in the 82nd percentile among all two guards, and where his shooting numbers truly shine is when looking at his numbers from the corner.

Huerter is shooting an even 50 percent on all corner three-pointers, which is good enough for the 85th percentile among two guards in the NBA. Excellent work for a non-lottery pick rookie after just under 40 games in his career.

As long as Lloyd Pierce continues to show faith in Huerter, Kev is sure to reward him with a striking three-point shooting performance down the end of the season. We await its arrival with bated breath.
