The Atlanta Hawks took down the Phoenix Suns 118-112 on Saturday night behind a huge a 4th quarter fueled by Trae Young and John Collins.

The Atlanta Hawks took on the another one of the young, rebuilding teams in the league in the Phoenix Suns at the Talking Stick Resort Arena on Saturday night. Trae Young and John Collins overpowered the Suns in this one, combining for 62 points on 53.6 percent shooting.

Atlanta actually had a whopping 24 turnovers, but shot better from the field, 3-point line and the free throw line. There were helped out by the fact that Huerter and Young went 6/16 (37.5 percent) from the 3-point line.

The Atlanta Hawks usually beat up their opponents in terms of paint points, but were actually outscored in the paint despite DeAndre Ayton not having a great game for the Suns (5/15 from the field). However, Mikal Bridges, Josh Jackson and Devin Booker all had 20+ points for the Suns, led by Booker’s 32 points.

Despite the Atlanta Hawks letting the Suns get out in transition so much, they were able to take this game behind some clutch fourth-quarter shooting. Collins and Young scored 30 the Atlanta Hawks 32 fourth quarter points, outscoring the entire Suns’ lineups by 6 points.

Here are my takeaways from the Atlanta Hawks back-and-forth victory over the Phoenix Suns.
