There’s a reason Vince Carter is called “Half-Man/Half-Amazing”

Vince Carter reached a huge milestone on Thursday night, becoming 25th all-time on points scored in NBA (and ABA) history.

Vince Carter is 21st in all-time points scored in (just) NBA history, one spot ahead of Hall of Famer Jerry West. Against the Raptors, Mr. Carter showed that he may have enough left in the tank for one more season, despite his statement in an early August (2018) story from ESPN’s Ian Begley about being “90-something percent sure” that this season would be his last.

On Thursday, Carter was able to net 9 points on 50 percent shooting, and finished with 2 rebounds, one block and no turnovers in 16 minutes of playing time. Both his 3-point makes came during the Hawks explosive 1st quarter, as he did a great job helping the Atlanta Hawks bench unit maintain a lead that was slipping away quickly.

Only time will tell if the 2018-19 season will truly be the last season of “Vinsanity”, but if it is, Vince Carter has done more than enough to deserve Hall of Fame consideration and lots of love from Atlanta Hawks faithful.
