Takeaways from the Atlanta Hawks 114-113 loss on the road against the Miami Heat.

Last night, the Atlanta Hawks took on the Miami Heat for the fourth and last time for the 2018-19 season. Unfortunately, this game resulted in a loss and it will be the last time the Hawks will face off against Dwyane Wade.

The Atlanta Hawks entered tonight’s game with the mindset of delivering another blow to the Miami Heat’s playoff chances while improving their own record.

Both teams find themselves in different situations as the 2018-19 season winds down. For the Miami Heat, the playoffs are still a possibility after tonight’s win. Defeating the Hawks improves Miami’s record to 29-34, tying them with the Charlotte Hornets in ninth place.

On the other hand, Atlanta fell to 22-42 which pushes them toward the bottom of the Eastern Conference.

Despite coming off the bench this season Wade continues to prove that he is the heart and soul of this Heat team. This season he has averaged 14.2 points, 4.2 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game.

Although the Hawks did not come away with the win tonight they still put up a solid fight against a desperate Heat team.

After tonight’s loss, Atlanta finds themselves sitting in 12th place with a 22-43 record on the season with a little more than a month left in the regular season.

Read on to explore a few takeaways from last night’s game.
