John Collins is Good at Basketball

After missing the past 3 games with the flu, JC came back tonight on a strict 25 minute restriction.

He took advantage of his limited time on the court, recording a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds on 11 shots, getting to the line 7 times in the process.

He’s already an elite roller in the P&R in just his 2nd season in the league, and has great chemistry with Trae Young in that field.

Collins is sneakily close to averaging 20 ppg, something the Hawks haven’t had since the ’09-’10 season, when Joe Johnson averaged 21.3 a game.

It would be quite a feat for the 21-year-old Collins to accomplish, and he currently sits at 19.5 points per contest. What’s the most impressive part however is that he’s pulling down 9.5 boards as well, coming very close to averaging a double-double.

The future is certainly bright in the ATL between Collins, Young, Huerter and Prince.
