Alex Len is a 7-foot BUCKET

By the trident of Poseidon, this mountain of a man is a gem.

In the absence of both his front-court mate and his primary feeder in John Collins and Trae Young, respectively, Alex Len went off to the tune of a career-high 33 points on 13-of-23 shooting with 8 rebounds and 4 assists.

Perhaps most remarkable of all? Len went 6-of-12 from deep. This man played like two Kyle Korver‘s melded together to create a superhuman.

Ok, yes he got dunked on by Giannis, but the Ukranian more than made up for it with jams of his own.

ALEX SAID “DON’T JUMP.”

The big man was phenomenal tonight when the Hawks sorely needed a spark plug. Also, it’s not like this outing was completely out of the ordinary–he’s now scored at 20+ points in three of the last five games.

Len signed a two-year deal this past off-season so we’ve got him in the ATL for at least one more campaign. It’ll be really interesting to see where he fits going forward, especially if the Hawks end up drafting a center with one of their early picks.

Alex’s continued development of the downtown stroke will do nothing but improve his value. I’m diggin’ it.
