Ice Trae made final ROY push

At the All-Star break, it seemed as if Luka Doncic was running away with the Rookie of the Year Award. But Young reemerged in the second half of the season and made a strong case as to why he should win (or at least be given a co-Rookie of the Year with Doncic).

Both the Dallas Mavericks and Atlanta Hawks lost last night so both players have an even playing field in regards to their season finale.

Ice Trae finished last night’s game with 23 points, 11 assists and 5 rebounds. On the other hand, Doncic did not get to suit up for his final game due to a thigh contusion.

In the final game of the season, Young reminded people why the Hawks traded up to draft him. It’s clear that he should/could win R.O.Y and that he will be one of the faces of the franchise.

As the season concludes, there were plenty of ups and downs to reflect on but the Atlanta Hawks are going in the right direction.
