#24. Philadelphia 76ers – Cam Johnson

The Philadelphia 76ers are sitting pretty this year with perhaps the best starting lineup in the NBA. Beyond that, the team put together back-to-back 50-win seasons after producing only 10 wins during the 2015-16 season – at the height of former GM Sam Hinkie’s epochal “Process” era.

However, despite a glut of talent in the starting lineup, the team’s lineup beyond those five is patchwork at best. Littered with centers and forwards such as Boban Marjanovic, Amir Johnson, Jonah Bolden and the recently acquired Greg Monroe, the 76ers lack depth in a big way on the wing and at guard.

When two rookies (Zhaire Smith, Shake Milton) will likely play a huge role in the playoffs and T.J. McConnell is your playoff backup point guard, something’s a bit off.

With this selection, the 76ers would fill a positional need at the three while also adding something they desperately need more of: Shooting.

Cameron Johnson of UNC shot a sky-high 45.7 percent on nearly 6 attempts per game from long range in his senior campaign, which was tops in the ACC. Johnson, who is already 23, would be able to run similar plays to what J.J. Redick does with the Sixers, just at a supersized level (6-foot-9, 210 pounds).
