#14. Boston Celtics (via Sacramento Kings) – Nassir Little

With the Boston Celtics second pick of the first round in the 2019 NBA Draft, the team will likely be choosing on behalf of another team as part of a big-name trade. However, if a deal does not get done, then the team could opt for a high-upside play in Nassir Little out of North Carolina.

Little was one of the best high school players in the country and was widely expected to cement himself as a top-five prospect with the Tar Heels during the season, but he was never to fully catch on with head coach Roy Williams – as his lack of feel and less-than-stellar basketball IQ could often be seen on a game-to-game basis.

Though the desire to perform and the motor and intensity are certainly fair from questions marks, Little is a still a supremely raw prospect who needs time to develop and hone his craft.

By being selected by the Celtics, Little will be able to learn under the tutelage of Brad Stevens, who has turned a multitude of young Celtics stars into a team that, on its best night, can look worthy of beating the Warriors – such as when they slaughtered the Bucks on the road in the first game of the two team’s second round playoff series.

Little’s striking athleticism and penchant for producing big plays on both ends should be intriguing to the Celtics and attaining him at 14th overall will seem like a steal for GM Danny Ainge.
