Best Moments

Ice Trae created quite the highlight real for himself during his rookie campaign. With each of his electrifying moments, it became clear that number 11 is something special.

Young is a different breed because of his quick handles, footwork, deep range and court vision.

Throughout the season, Young put people on blast with his ball-handling ability and being able to utilize the pick-and-roll. Two of his best moments came from scoring 36 points against the Houston Rockets and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Against the T-Wolves Young led his team to victory in an overtime win.

Even though the Hawks lost to the Rockets when Young scored 36 points it was another one of his top performances because of the fact that he performed on one of the biggest stages.

On February 25, he delivered 36 points and 8 assists while shooting 66.7 percent from three and 100 percent from the free throw line. This performance came against a strong Houston Rockets team who can score at any moment.

Toward the second half of the season, Young started to heat up and break records.

Fans continued to gravitate toward Young because of his determination and love for the game. Clearly, he struggled toward the beginning of the season but he settled in and started to buy into Piece’s system. He went on to become the only rookie to record five straight games with 23 points and 8 assists.

The young guard can affect the game in multiple ways and has the ability to put his imprint on a game even if he isn’t scoring efficiently.
