Conclusion

So there you have it!

Shooting guard is a position in which the Atlanta Hawks have an abundance of options, which is good, as the NBA has become something of a guard’s league as the focus of the game has shifted away from the hoop and more towards the three-point line.

With a variety of new faces on the roster that can play the two (or three for that matter), expect to see plenty of tinkering and lineup changes from coach Pierce once the season begins.

Much like he played with lineups throughout the season last year – slowly phasing out older players to focus on the young guns – expect Pierce to provide all of his two guards ample opportunities to showcase their skills, while still keeping an eye towards the future by focusing on the young players first and foremost.

Just so we have it, here is the full Atlanta Hawks projected shooting guard depth chart:

Starter: Kevin Huerter

Backup: Cam Reddish

Third-String: Allen Crabbe

Other Options: DeAndre’ Bembry, Chandler Parsons, Evan Turner, Charlie Brown
