Other Options: Vince Carter, Chandler Parsons, Cam Reddish, Charlie Brown

Last but not least, let’s explore a few other options that might fill in at the three spot for the Hawks.

First up is NBA legend and 21-year veteran Vince Carter. Now, this might seem surprising for the uninitiated, but VC played the majority of his minutes (over 56 percent per Basketball Reference) at the four last year, as Vince simply doesn’t have the speed to hang with younger players at the three. Remember, the man is 42 years old, so don’t begrudge him that.

As such, let’s assume that he’ll be lower on the pecking order than some players at the three.

New acquisition Chandler Parsons will likely see some backup minutes at the three as he aims to prove he still has a role in the NBA after seeing his minutes slashed and numbers dwindle during his damaging tenure in Memphis.

Beyond that, rookie Cam Reddish will likely see some time at the three as a development experiment, though his frail frame will need to have more muscled packed onto it before he can play lengthy stints at the small forward spot.

Lastly, Two-Way undrafted free agent Charlie Brown (great name, by the way) will almost certainly see some spot minutes at the two and three, though there are more qualified options ahead of him – making him one of the “last men off the bench for the Atlanta Hawks next year.
