Both State Farm Arena and the Hawks’ unis will show off their peachy makeover tonight.

After 2 years of so-so City edition alternate jerseys, the Atlanta Hawks seem to have found a winner with their new Peach colored kits.

The inspiration comes from the ever-present Peachtree streets across the Atlanta area. Both the font across the chest and the peach color, which is new to their palette for this jersey.

It’s mixed with a deeper black than their usual charcoal, and the white used, isn’t white completely white. Really a complete overhaul of their base look.

The theming goes beyond just the new jerseys however, with the team embracing a ‘Peachtree Night’, which will bring a new court and a peach party to State Farm Arena. These nights will happen throughout a handful of home games throughout the rest of the season.

I think the jersey design is good overall, but the court design is the real winner here.

The black/peach logo is fantastic, and I’m glad they didn’t go overboard with the peach – which they could have easily done.

It’s used just as the key fill and in a new alternate logo – a peach with a basketball line design.

Players will be likely using the peach on their shoes, headbands, shooting sleeves and other accessories as well.

The cherry on top for the evening will be a performance by Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz, who will be debuting a new song at halftime.

Peachtree nights should bring the party to home games throughout the year, and hopefully the team pick ups some wins in the unis.

If they are successful, this could turn into a long term alternate like Miami’s Vice Nights and Denver’s skyline nights.

Next. Vince Carter returning to action. dark

You can catch the hawks’ new look tonight at 5:30 eastern.
