#3: Excitement

A former Slam Dunk Contest participant, John Collins is among the most exciting players in the league.
He soars through the air with grace, target set on a rim-rattling dunk. He has performed many of these through his 3 years in Atlanta.

Thankfully, the Hawks still have the ever-flashy Trae Young, and Jabari Parker who provides decent hop on dunks.
It’s a pain we’ll have to wait until December 23rd until we can see all three of these guys together.
The Hawks still have 16 games to play without The Baptist, and what they’re going to miss on thing above all: he gives them a much greater chance to win games.
Atlanta had an outside chance of making the playoffs at the start of the season, and missing JC for nearly 35% of the year makes it even tougher.
As mentioned, Collins is able to rejoin the team on the 23rd of next month, when the Hawks will be in Cleveland.
We’ll see how the Hawks will do between now and then, but they’ll no doubt be missing Collins during that time.
