Looking at the report that Atlanta Hawks’ guard Trae Young will be ready to roll next game.

Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young is expected to be back for their next game, after missing the past two.

He rolled his ankle last Friday against the Bucks, leaving the game and not returning. It was announcing pretty quickly after the game that he would not be traveling to Chicago the next day. He also missed last night’s win in Orlando.

The mini road trip is still going, as they next play in Boston, but that’s not before an odd four day break, allowing him to rejoin the team before Friday.

In total, Atlanta is 1-2 minus Young on the season, with a +/- of negative 36.

Cam Reddish officially filled in as the starting point guard, but did next to nothing in that role. It was Brandon Goodwin who had a break out night against the Magic, finishing with 21 points and 6 assists off the bench.

They would have been in some big trouble heading to Boston, taking on the 23-8 C’s without Young, and they’ll still probably be underdogs with him.

We’ll have to see if Trae will be on a minutes restriction of some sort. Kevin Huerter was eased in very slowly from both his injuries this season, while John Collins was given no restriction returning from injury.

Earlier this season, Trae came off the one game he missed and played 29 minutes, putting up 29 points and 13 assists in their win over the Spurs.

Young will probably get something similar this time around, still starting and finishing the game, but appearing less than the 35 minutes he averages on the year.

There is still a few days before the game, which is scheduled for the fourth, for Trae to get healthy even further.
