Round Three:

Team LeBron: Trae Young, PG, Hawks

Unlike Doncic, Trae’s skills are made exclusively for the All-Star game. Trae puts up huge numbers while being double-teamed, and it’s very easy to imagine him going for 40-plus while being barely covered at all. LeGM knows this.

LeBron is also a noted fan of Young’s game, dating back to his college days at Oklahoma. Trae vs. Luka will also become one of the biggest storylines of the weekend.

Trae made his first All-Star game this year, averaging the league’s 3rd most points and 4th most assists. Despite, some disagreed that he should be included, due to the Hawks’ abysmal record, but he still received the most votes of Eastern Conference guards.

Team Giannis: Joel Embiid, C, 76ers

Giannis is lucky to have Embiid slide to the sixth pick, as he’s the only other true big left after AD.

The do-it-all center also has skills ripe for a big All-Star game, although he struggled a bit for team Giannis last season, making 4 of 12 shots for 10 points. He did pull down 12 rebounds, a game-high for either team.

There are health concerns for the 7-footer, who hasn’t played since January 9th.
