Bruno Fernando at least rumored to be tradeable

Here, I’m not predicting that 2nd round rookie Bruno Fernando will be traded, instead I’m predicting he’ll pop up sometime in the heat of the Deadline.

Hours before the deadline,  when Woj, Shams, and all the various NBA reporters are firing off Tweets in a frenzy, a lot of names get thrown around containing players who are in trade talks.

Of course not all of these players end up being traded, but it can be a good indicator of players that were at the very least, on the block. This year, I think that’ll be Bruno Fernando for the Hawks.

“Sources: multiple teams inquired about Atlanta rookie center Bruno Fernando” or “Atlanta and Team X are discussing a deal involving Player A and Bruno Fernando” are easily reports I could see happening on Thursday.

Of course Bruno could actually be traded as well, especially if the team acquires another center.

The 21-year-old hasn’t been great this season, and has had more stinkers than good nights, but has showed potential in spots as well. The Hawks likely wouldn’t be thrilled to give up on the rookie after just a few months, but they’d certainly rather trade him than the other youngsters on the team like Cam Reddish, Kevin Huerter, De’Andre Hunter or John Collins.

Bruno could be the sweetener needed to get a deal done, and at the very least, will be rumored to be on the move.
