Handing out player grades for the Atlanta Hawks in their 129-124 victory over the Miami Heat.

The Atlanta Hawks made their valiant return from the All-Star break on Thursday night, beating the Miami Heat 129-124.

Trae Young was the best player on the court by a pretty wide margin, impressive as they were playing the current 4th seed in the East.

Ice Trae showed up in a big way, setting a new career-high with 50 points, catching fire from deep in the fourth quarter. He made eight threes, adding eight assists as well.

The rookies Cam Reddish and De’Andre Hunter both had among their best games, making important plays down the stretch to help secure the win. Hunter hit a three to tie the game at 124, and Reddish stole the ball on the ensuing possession setting up a go-ahead dunk.

Miami was held scoreless in the final 1:51, with the Hawks ending the game on a 10-0 run. Atlanta wasn’t very good defensively on the night as a whole, but stepped up when it mattered.

They secured their 16th win, going 8-9 in their past 17 games.

Next we’ll be looking at each player who checked in, giving them a grade for their performance. Let’s get starting with the starters.
