Full Two-Round NBA Mock Draft Pre-March Madness
By Dallin Duffy
The 18-year-old’s play in Europe has been all over the place, and should be considered a “project pick” in the draft.
Maledon only received 17.4 minutes a game for his team, with mediocre numbers across the board. The 6’4 point guard averaged 15.2 points, 5.8 assists and 5.6 fouls per-36. The fouls are concerning, especially that physical play is already allowed more in the Euroleague than it is in the NBA.
In terms of positives, he’s a speedy slasher who can take it coast-to-coast with ease. He gets very low on his drives, using his size to his advantage. While he’s better in the lane, Maledon can pull up for a jumper, and possesses some catch-and-shoot capabilities.
He’ll need to work on his passing and limiting his fouls, but some team is bound to look past those downfalls and take a chance on him.
