Full Two-Round NBA Mock Draft Pre-March Madness
By Dallin Duffy
There could be some buzz (pun intended) to take fellow point guard Cole Anthony to keep him in North Carolina, but after the season that team has had Carolina fans may be ready to move on from Anthony.
Instead the Hornets take Killian Hayes, the French point guard whose placement on various big boards is sporadic. He’s a great slashing point guard who has great court vision and inside scoring ability. He’s another player who’ll be just 18-years-old on draft night, which could raise him on various team’s boards.
The question mark around Hayes is his deep shot, which he scarcely takes in the Euroleague (3.0 attempts per game, 32%). If he is able to find a jumper, it’ll just be a bonus to his already rich arsenal of floaters and finger-rolls.
Hayes also needs to work on his turnovers, as he carries a assist to turnover ratio of 5.3 to 3.3.
