Toppin has risen up draft boards all season, and could be a prime candidate to raise it even more in the tournament. Toppin has the Dayton Flyers primed for a top seed in March, leading them to a 26-2 record thus far.

In terms of fit, Chicago already has two young big men in Wendell Carter and Lauri Markkanen, but it could be hard to resist the 6’9 Toppin. He’s one of the nation’s top scorers, and his 19.7 points per game have come at a very efficient 62.3 percent.

He’s explosive at and above the rim, and could be a prime candidate for a Dunk Contest in a few years. Toppin’s 92 dunks are 2nd in the nation. His outside shooting has improved as the season’s progressed, and could be used effectively in both the pick-and-roll as well as the pick-and-pop.

His draft age of 22 is less than ideal, especially given all the teenagers we’ve already covered, and you’d like to see more rebounds given his size and position. He’s one of the most talented and pro-ready players in the draft, but could already be at his ceiling.
