NBA Mock Draft as NCAA Season Suddenly Ends
By Dallin Duffy
It’s officially a run on point guards, with Chicago taking the fourth straight. Although picked last of the four, Haliburton certainly could have the best career of them all.
The sophomore Cyclone had his season cut short with a hand injury, posting good numbers before. He averaged 15.2 points 6.5 assists and 5.9 rebounds per game while shooting 50 percent from the field, 42 percent from three.
He also averaged over two steals per game, and has quick hands and shifty feet on defense. Even if his scoring doesn’t translate right away, he’ll be a frustrating perimeter defender from day one.
The Bulls have a few nice young guards in Coby White and Zach LaVine, and Haliburton could come in off the bench to provide good numbers across the board as a rook.
