#3 – 99 Dominique Wilkins

The 99 overall opal of Wilkins got the short end of the stick a bit, being the first opal added into the game. Because of, he doesn’t have the same type of stats or badges that opals released today do.

Still, ‘Nique is a great card and can be had for free — just requiring a whole lot of time. The 99 Wilkins is a reward for winning one thousand Triple Threat games offline, which each take between 10-15 minutes.

If you’re able to get him, you’ll get a great inside scorer, one who carries 98 driving layup and dunk ratings. He can also shoot from deep, from mid-range and basically from all over. He’s a great offensive card.

Unfortunately, he has just eight badges (27 less than the #1 player on this list), and none of them are on defense. Wilkins has respectable enough defensive ratings, but nothing that’s going to jump off the screen in a game.

I’m not even close to having won my one-hundredth Triple Threat game, let alone one thousand, so I haven’t personally used this card, but his stats leave something to be desired, He’s a very good card, but for a 99 overall, could be better.
