The Hawks are a promising young team and they got to where they are by making some good draft picks. Let’s see how they did on their last ten draft picks.

The Atlanta Hawks have had a lot of great draft picks in recent years that have positioned them to be one of the best young teams in the league. However, they have also had their fair share of misses in the draft. And while not every team is going to hit on every draft pick, the most you can hope for is that you are successful in the majority of your first-round picks.

Today we’ll be taking a look at the last ten first-round draft picks that the Atlanta Hawks have made and rank them based on a number of factors. The most important factor will obviously be how good that player turned out to be. But additional factors that will be considered is where the player was picked, what the return was if the player was traded and the upside a player has if they were recently drafted.

Some of the players on this list have played for the Hawks for a few years, while others hardly played for the team at all. The only first-round draft picks that are not considered in this ranking is guys who were technically drafted by the team but were traded on draft night (i.e. Trae Young will be considered not Luka Doncic).

As mentioned, the Hawks have had a lot of great draft picks in recent years and hopefully, they will continue to make great picks over the next few years. The next two or three drafts will be crucial in setting up this Hawks team for success for years to come so they’ve got to make the most of it.
