1. Trae Young

Simply a no-brainer. Trae Young is easily the best draft pick of Hawks last ten. While the trade for the pick to draft Trae got its fair share of criticism at the time… it seems to be working out pretty well for the Hawks, to say the least. I think it’s safe to say that trade that sent Trae Young and Cam Reddish to the Hawks and Luka Doncic to the Mavericks is looking pretty even at this point.

Trae Young’s numbers this season were absolutely bonkers. He averaged 29.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 9.3 assists, shot 43.7 percent from the field, 36.1 percent from three and 86.0 percent from the free-throw line. In just his second season! Bonkers.

He was named to his first of what will likely be many All-Star teams and certainly has a case to make an All-NBA team. Trae Young is quite simply a generational talent and is the reason why teams literally lose games intentionally. Teams tank in order to draft guys like Trae Young.

The Hawks got a good one in Trae Young and if they play their cards right, they can build a contender around Trae Young for the next 10-15 years.
