1. Cam Reddish

In my opinion, the most likely candidate to become the Atlanta Hawks third star is Cam Reddish. While Cam was definitely not perfect this season, some of the flashes he showed where he either hit a tough three, attacked the basket with reckless abandon or made a great defensive play are all a testament to his talent. This makes Reddish undeniably the highest ceiling player on the Hawks (with the exception of Trae Young and probably John Collins) and he will have every opportunity to fulfil his full potential.

In his rookie season, Reddish averaged only 10.5 points per game but he had some really impressive stretches. Most notably, his last four games of the season he was averaging 17.5 points per game! It is these types of consecutive performances that suggest that Reddish may be the guy to fill the third option role for this Hawks team.

Not only is Reddish the most likely candidate to become the Hawks third star but he is also the most ideal candidate. What Reddish is able to provide at the shooting guard position in terms of his great jump shot and more importantly his elite defense pairs perfectly with Hawks All-Star point guard Trae Young. There is simply not a more perfect match for a guy like Trae who struggles on the defensive end and has the ability to find open shooters at any given time.

Let’s hope Cam Reddish is able to maximize his potential because if he does… the Hawks will be nasty.
