There’s been a lot of speculation about how the NBA will finish the remainder of the season. Which solution would be most beneficial for the Atlanta Hawks?

Many NBA analysts have proposed different ideas about how the NBA season could return. I’d like to take a look at a few of them and see which solution would be most advantageous for the Atlanta Hawks.

There have been four main ideas floated around by numerous sources. Some of the ideas are more outlandish than others, but they are all relatively feasible. Additionally, some of the proposed ideas are beneficial to different teams. Some benefit contenders, whereas some benefit lottery teams.

Each idea is extremely unique and really shows what the individual presenting the idea values. It is clear that the owners and the NBA values revenue, whereas players simply value winning.

The Atlanta Hawks, at the time of the hiatus, had a 20-47 record and were in the 14-seed in the Eastern Conference. And they were in line to have another top-five pick in this year’s draft.

Obviously, the Hawks aren’t going to win the NBA championship this season. But in my opinion, the best solution would give the Hawks some fun competitive playoff-type games down the stretch of the season while still giving them the best chance at receiving the number one pick in this year’s draft.

So far there has only been one solution presented that would put the Hawks in that position. And the remainder of the solutions would either have a marginal or a negative impact on the team. With that being said, let’s start by looking at the first proposal.
